A HEARTFELT THANK YOU FROM IAN
Last weekend marked a profound moment in my ministry journey: being ordained priest in Ely Cathedral on Saturday, and then celebrating my first Mass at St Peter’s Babraham on Sunday morning. It was a joy and a privilege to preside, and to gather around the altar with so many of you. The welcome you offered to my family, friends and those from my sending church was generous and deeply felt. On the front of the service booklet were the words, “Come, Holy Spirit, and kindle in us the fire of your love” — and truly, that love was made manifest in the worship, in the hospitality, and in the sense of God’s presence among us. Thank you to everyone who made the weekend possible. I remain deeply grateful and honoured to serve among you and ask that you continue to pray for me, that I may be faithful to this calling and open always to the Spirit’s leading.
